Spring 2024 Studio Class

Join a welcoming cohort of other adult students to work on phrasing, polishing, and interpreting your piece! Every class session will feature two players who will receive individual attention meant to direct and clarify their efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to get acclimated to playing in front of others, one of the hallmarks of conservatory education.

All levels welcome in this session. Violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Please bring a piece that you have been working on, not something new.

There will be guest faculty!

Another aspect of the conservatory approach is that it requires participants to take responsibility for their learning. If students only learn when they are the featured player, they will be receiving a fraction of the benefit. Bring your most ambitious, most attentive and curious game to these sessions, and you will be a different musician by the final session! I cannot stress enough how being awake and engaged changes the experience of attending these classes.

Online. Upon purchase, you will receive a link to a document, good for 24 hours. Please save that document, as it contains the Zoom link we will be using for every class meeting!

Sundays at 6pm Eastern.

Dates: March 24, April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5. The final class is a casual recital.
