Speed, Confidence, and Sautillé. Cello Fight Club: Popper 27 edition!

Few studies get to the heart of left/right hand coordination like Popper 27. The notes are not inherently difficult—dedicated intermediate cellists can play this étude with great success. Increasing the speed of the left hand and moving out of spiccato and into a true sautillé stroke is lots of fun. Join Emily Wright for 6 weeks of organized practice and individual attention in this very special studio class. The goal: to play this piece with a briliant sautillé bow and a sense of relaxed, accurate, quickness in the left hand.

Participant requirements: a copy of the Popper High School of Cello Studies, a rudimentary familiarity with #27, and a metronome.
